Franciscan Province – MALTA

During the last past days, the Province’s web site has been upgraded with new and the latest which can now be accessible to everyone.  On one of the pages, which is popular with many is the Power-Point presentation where one can find all the Sundays’ power-point on one page. 

The Minister Provincial, Fr. Sandro Overend OFM, has just asked Fr. Lorrie Zerafa OFM, to take the post of Secretary of Franciscan Missions in the Maltese Province after Fr. George Bugeja OFM.

Fr. George, has been asked by the Minister General of the Order, Fr Jose’ R. Carballo OFM, to start working and representing the Order at the Congregation for the Evangelization of People, (Propoganda Fide) in Rome. He started working there on the 1st March 2010.

The June 2010 issue of “OFM-LINK” is again online as usual. It contains various news items and articles regarding our province and the Franciscan Order. The present issue has information on St. Anthony, The Mission of the Franciscans, the moratorium together with other news from the province and more. During these days, Fr Martin Coleiro together with the respective parents of our novices, are in Assisi for a short visit. Aaron Abdilla from Mellieha together with Emmanuel Said from Rabat are currently doing their novitiate in Assisi.  They started the novitiate at San Damiano  together with some Italian youth.
