Franciscan Province – MALTA

On Friday evening, the 18th of September 2009, postulant Andrea Diacono together with the pre-postulants Clive Camilleri and Ramon Farrugia began their spiritual retreat in Montepaolo Hermitage, adjacent to the Franciscan convent in Gozo. This retreat, in preparation for the start of a new year of postulancy on the 29th of September, was organised by Fra Stephen Magro and Fr. George Bugeja.

On Tuesday the 8th of September 2009, our two new novices Br. Manuel Said ofm of Rabat, Malta and Br. Aaron Abdilla ofm of Mellieha, started their novitiate year at San Damiano, Assisi. Br. Manuel and Br. Aaron were accompanied to Assisi by Br. Richard Stanley Grech ofm, Vicar Provincial, and Br. Joseph Caruana ofm Guardian and Parish Priest of Sacro Cuor parish, Sliema.
