Franciscan Province – MALTA

The Franciscan Seminary is once again organising a Franciscan Walk on the feast of the Porziuncola. The walk is going to begin from the Għargħur Parish Church on the 1st August at 19:45hrs with a brief introduction.

Afterwards the actual walk will proceed to the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq where the walk will end with a Eucharistic adoration and a moment of prayer. Everyone is invited to participate.

The re-elected Minister General, Fr. Jose’ Rodriguez Carballo OFM, will be visiting our Province in Malta in October 2009. According to the communication sent by his personal secretary Fr. Francisco S. Arellano, he will be arriving to Malta on the 28th and will be leaving on the 30th October.

During his stay in Malta, he will be meeting the Archbishop, the Provincial Definitorium, Formators, the Vocation Equipppe and all the friars gathered together, probably at the Porziuncola Retreat House in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. A meeting with the poor Clares will be also scheduled accordingly.
