Franciscan Province – MALTA

* During Lent, a national pilgrimage enriched by the meditation on the fourteen Stations of the Cross, will be held in Rabat, Malta on the 8th April 2009. This Lenten meeting, led by his Grace the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Pawl Cremona,

Two Friars of our Province will be celebrating their 50th priesthood anniversary (14th March 1959). Fr. Joseph Vella and Fr. Alfred Tabone.

CPI (CAM Productions International), together with the Franciscan Friars of Saint Mary of Jesus Church in Valletta and the Archconfraternity of the Holy Crucifix have just produced a DVD on the Miraculous Crucifix venerated in the aforementioned Church.

On Saturday, 7th March 2009 , the friars, 45 in number,  of the Franciscan Province of St. Paul the Apostle, had the Lentenseason meeting together with the Poor Clares, in St. Julians’.
