Franciscan Province – MALTA

Malta today celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. The Franciscan churches of Valletta and Rabat organize two devotional processions with the statue of the sorrowful Virgin beneath the Cross. The procession of Valletta is the oldest one in Malta and thousands flock to take part in it.

MEĦLUSIN is a play which does not follow the traditional lines of a passion play. In fact it tries to reach out and ponder in the depths of human nature in its quest for serenity and joy.

The Commissariat of the Holy Land is once again organizing a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Sinai. This Pilgrimage will be held from 15th to 25th April. This kind of Pilgrimage is going to be held for the second time after the sucess of last year.
