25th Anniversary of Ordination
Fr. Jimmy Zammit celebrates his 25th Anniversary of priestly Ordination on 29th June, feast of Saints Peter and Paul. He presides over a solemn Mass of thanksgiving at the Franciscan church of Saint Mary of Jesus in Rabat.
60 Years of Priesthood
On Sunday 28 May 2006, Solemnity of the Ascension of Christ, Fr. Kamillu Aquilina OFM, celebrated 60 years of priesthood ministry during a solemn Mass at the parish church of the Virgin Mary of the Sacred Heart (Sacro Cuor) in Sliema.
25 years of presence
On 31 May 1981 the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus officially initiated their service in Saint Saviour’s Monastery. On 18 May of the same year, 25 years ago, the first eight sisters arrived from Malta.
“Oratorio”
On Wednesday evening at around 7.30, for a whole hour, the Orchestra of the Manoel Thetre, under the guidance of Mro. Joseph Vella, performed the “Oratorio” in honour of the “Madonna tas-Sacro Cuor, which was composed by the late Franciscan poet Fr. Marianus Vella OFM.
